Who we are

A local house, not a booking counter.

Atmosphere Bhutan is a licensed travel house based in Thimphu, registered with the Tourism Council of Bhutan. We build private, made-to-measure itineraries — never fixed package tours — and we accompany every traveler personally into the valleys, monasteries and trekking trails we grew up with.

Our guides speak English, French, Japanese, German, Spanish, Korean and Chinese, and specialize in three kinds of journeys: cultural discovery, high-altitude trekking, and spiritual travel among Bhutan's Buddhist monasteries.

Three ways to meet Bhutan.

06–16 DAYS

Cultural Voyages

Dzongs, valleys and living traditions, at a pace set by conversation rather than the clock — from a compact 6-day introduction to a 16-day west-to-east crossing.

Trekking

From gentle village-to-village walks like the Bumthang Cultural Trek to high alpine routes such as the Druk Path — through forest, pasture, and thin Himalayan air.

Spiritual Journeys

Time with Buddhist monasteries and teachers, built around retreat, festival and meditation — for travelers seeking Bhutan's inner geography, not just its outer one.

In their words

Travelers, on returning.

“Nous étions six amis guidés par Pem Dorji entre le Sikkim, le Bhoutan et l'Assam — un voyage inoubliable, porté par sa maîtrise du français et sa connaissance du terrain.”

— Michelle Mathian, Mâcon, France

“Every day felt personally arranged for us, not sold to us. That's the difference a small, local team makes.”
